English Instructor - Ivy Tech Community College, Spring and Summer 2007, Spring 2011-Present
English 093/111 co-requisite: As part of a new curriculum, students who need developmental support for their writing take the introductory course and the for-credit course simultaneously. Time in 093 is spent workshopping, addressing logistical concerns, and helping students deal with the increased demands of college. At the same time, these students will take a regularly scheduled 111 class with other students who did not require developmental instruction.
English 111: This is the first composition course students take for credit, and covers the modes of writing.
English 112: This course leads students towards writing an academic, researched essay.
English 211: This technical writing course guides students through types of business communication.

I developed strategies for middle and high school teachers which engage their students in reading comprehension, vocabulary development, and revision practices. In the ISU studio, I filmed nine different lessons which were then uploaded to the grant website.
